Tyre Deandre Nichols (June 5, 1993 – January 10, 2023) was a 29-year-old black man. Nichols worked for FedEx, and was an amateur photographer with a photography website. Nichols was raised in Sacramento, California, and moved to Memphis in 2020.

One officer involved in his death was Preston Hemphill.
Preston will not face criminal charges.
